Colt Chamberlain graduated with his Juris Doctor from the university of Alberta in 2026. He expects to be called to the bar in 2027.
Before attending law school, Colt completed a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in History, at the University of British Columbia: Okanagan.
After graduating from the University of British Columbia, Colt attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, with the intention of practicing criminal defence, as his late father did for many years in the greater Vancouver area. To this end, he sought out specialized courses in criminal law throughout his time in Law School. Additionally, in his first year, Colt dedicated his time volunteering for Student Legal Services Criminal Project, an organization that provides legal defence services to the low-income community of Edmonton and its surrounding areas.
Colt was hired as a full-time Criminal Dayleader at Student Legal Services, where he was responsible for managing volunteers, dealing with individuals’ criminal legal matters, running trials, and preparing various Charter notices. Colt eventually became the Project Coordinator of Student legal Services’ Criminal Project where he oversaw and mentored a team of law students in assisting the low-income community with there criminal legal matters.
Colt is currently articling with our office under the supervision of Stacey Purser and expects to be called to the bar in the summer of 2027.
